Restoring the Past for Future Generations

Time wears on us all. Especially on memories, even those preserved. Light, weather, and the elements can damage photos and deteriorate over time.

Luckily, tools today can easily preserve these memories and help keep them alive and lasting through the ages. A client needed some work done on some tattered family photos. Nothing the patch tool, clone brush, and a few other tricks can't do!

Before & After. A faded and torn image gets a much needed boost in contrast. Scratches eliminated, and a torn corner restored.

I always like to think o photos and books as a form of time-travel or immortality. First hand evidence you existed. As these memories and ideas live on in others, so does the person who inspired them. It is a way for the ghost of our former selves to carry on through generations, speaking to others of our lives, our dreams, fears, and ideals.

More tears and scratches. A great challenge with a very happy client to see everything restored.

I'm sure that we've all got a box of history and a tomb of souls waiting to be seen again. If you need photos restored to their former glory, drop me a line! I'd love to help fix these photos!
