A great pumpkin with a twist. The best villains in stories have a human side, or a saving grace. We think of monsters as terrible, evil, one-dimensional chaotic creatures that desire nothing more than our very destruction.
There's a t-shirt out there that reads "how many vegetables died to make your salad?" What if these crops had feelings? They are in fact life. Who speaks for the trees? In October, who speaks for the pumpkins?
So in homage to a beloved character, along with other childhood tales that warn to "stay out of the garden" In search of forbidden crops, a giant Jack-O-Lantern protecting its patch of young is my bidding to a happy and safe Halloween!
