Digging into some later material in the final year of college, these sketches were for a mock chocolate company based in Chicago called "Passe." With Chicago's rich metropolitan history including trains, I explored art deco motifs for the logo, which followed suit with accompanying artwork. Of these logos, I explored Chicago's skyline, art deco type fonts, even including some trains to express they idea that "flavor is a journey."
While consensus liked the artistic flairs surrounding the logos, I realized the challenge would be balancing logo placement with product artwork. I kept the bottom sketch's typeface while using elements of illustrations from the middle sketch for the artwork within the products.
